ABOUT ME
I am a English/Spanish speaking Chartered Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in the UK, Spain and Malta with a special interest in persistent pain, breathing pattern disorders and menopause.
I believe that movement is key one´s physical and mental health and I am passionate about helping people live a good quality life. I believe in listening to people´s stories, educating them about their symtoms and offering a holistic and practical rehabilitation programme tailored to their individual needs and guiding them on a journey towards recovery.
I am married with two children and a dog. In my spare time I like to travel, cook, walk the dog and practise yoga and pilates.
EXPERIENCE
I qualified in 2003 at the University of Brighton (UK) with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy and went on to work at several UK National Health Service Trusts in London and Kent before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and moving into private practice in 2005 where I worked in numerous private clinics before establishing my own.
I have experience in treating a wide array of musculoskeletal disorders including persistent pain and have worked with numerous specialist Consultants and a EFL League 2 Club. In more recent years I have trained as a Breathwork Coach, Mental Health Advocate and Menopause Movement Specialist.

Physiotherapy is more than one type of treatment, and the depth of my skills and expertise means that through careful questioning and easy functional tests I am able to diagnose the root cause of your problem and advise you on the most effective treatment plan including therapeutic exercises and self management advice. I can advise on a range of conditions including:
Back pain
Neck pain
Shoulder pain
Upper limb pain
Lower limb pain
Knee pain
Osteoarthritis
Sports Injuries
Sciatica
Nerve pain
Headaches
Whiplash associated disorders
Pregnancy related pain
Soft tissue injuries
Postural Dysfunction
Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation, Dry Needling and TCM Acupuncture
IMS, Dry Needling and TCM acupuncture involve the use of very thin needles which are inserted into the tight muscles to decrease muscle tightness, increase blood flow and reduce pain. Treatment is based on scientific research and clinical evidence.
All needling techniques use single-use, pre-sterilised disposable needles of varying lengths, widths and materials.
A number of needles are used during a treatment session and may remain in position for up to 30 minutes before being removed.
Menopause Movement MOT
During the pre, peri and post menopausal years there are many changes to your physical and mental health due to fluctuating hormones and these changes in oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone levels can lead to many symptoms.
Treatment is based on your individual needs and a tailored exercise programme including strengthening exercises will be created for you and progressed as required. Throughout your programme you can ask questions and get support anytime using PhysiApp that allows you to follow exercise videos and report back on your progress.

Breathing MOT
Breathing is essential to life and breathing incorrectly can cause a variety of symptoms including but not limited to:
Musculoskeletal pain
Tension around the face, jaw, neck and shoulders
Frequent yawning and/sighing
Fatigue
Pins and needles in arms and hands
Feeling light headed/dizzy
Headaches
I can assess your breathing and educate you on what is 'good breathing'. You will be taught how to recognise poor breathing techniques and exercises to correct your breathing.
